Remote Island Lodge
Let’s be clear: it’s not the Ritz-Carlton, but this is where Captain Tom runs his top-notch fishing charters.
Our accommodations put you right where the action is. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and come with comfy king- and queen-size beds. That said, you might not spend much time in your room—our fishing days start early, with a 6:00 am departure just before dawn, and we usually return around 6:30 pm, just before sunset. The focus here is on fishing in Panama, not luxury lodgings.
Think about it: comfortable lodging in the heart of the best fishing waters, guided by the most experienced professionals. We’re not a multi boat resort, where they leave the dock at 7:00 am and are back by 3:30 pm. Fish as early or late as you want. Here, we’re about maximizing your fishing experience.
For ocean fishing, the best bite is typically before 9:00 am and after 4:00 pm. Yet the Marlin bite is particularly good around noon, which is often the prime time.
Our lodge is on an island close to Coiba National Park and Hannibal Bank, so you’ll avoid long boat rides that other lodges farther from these protected waters might require.
We offer a personalized experience by hosting only one party at a time.
The food here is fantastic, with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. Dinner features what we catch, along with conch, lobster, clams, and plate-sized snappers. Breakfasts are American-style, and lunch usually includes hearty, homestyle dishes like meat, potatoes, vegetables, and healthy snacks.
Enjoy drinks from a well-stocked open bar. If you have a specific bottle in mind, let us know, and we’ll do our best to get it for you. We also provide beer, soft drinks, and bottled water on board.
We offer high-speed internet via STARLINK, so you can stay connected even in paradise.
The key highlight of our website is our prime location near Coiba Park, where you’ll find some of the biggest and most plentiful fish in Central America. Without these exceptional islands, Captain Tom wouldn’t have made Panama his home.
Hot coffee will be waiting outside your door at 4:30 am. Get ready to leave the dock at dawn.
