Location and Travel

Where are we?

Is flying the only way to reach the lodge?
You can also go overland from David, which takes 3.5 hours to the coastal village of Pixvae, followed by a 14-mile taxi boat ride to Bahia Honda. Or rent a car and drive to to Santiago only two hours from Pixvae.

Accessibility at Our Lodge

Our fishing lodge is wheelchair-friendly, featuring a ground-level guest room next to the dining area, overlooking the dock. With assistance, it’s a short roll to the boat.

Onboard, we have a large fighting chair designed for accessibility, allowing guests with disabilities to safely angle for big fish. We strive to ensure that everyone can enjoy the thrill of fishing in our beautiful waters.

Group Size and Accommodations

What is your ideal group size?
We accommodate groups of one to four.
If you are a single angler, you can catch more fish! We often create groups of singles and doubles. Feel free to ask to be put on the hot list for a call.

Can you handle a larger group?
Yes, we can accommodate up to 8 or even 10 guests. Please call for details.

Comfort and Environment

Are there bugs?
There are no biting bugs or flies here.

Is it too hot during the summer months?
Days in June, July, and August are typically overcast and cooler. The hottest months are during the winter, with clear and sunny skies. Ocean breezes help a lot. It’s always hot, but summer days are generally more comfortable. There are many whales in the area during the summer months, and fish tend to bite better on rainy days. Summer is also when you can get close access to big Wahoo.
