Right away, you can cast lines and reel in nearshore species. Alternatively, cruise southeast for 1 hour and 40 minutes to Jicaron and Jicarita Islands to target Black and Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Dorado, and Yellowfin Tuna.

Coiba National Park
Coiba National Park safeguards a network of 34 major islands, countless reefs, and undersea rocks. Positioned at the edge of deep oceanic waters, these islands attract fish via strong currents from the Continental Shelf’s drop-off. Consequently, the park brims with fish-holding structures, perfect for sportfishing. Plus, the dramatic scenery, with marlin-rich waters near the deep abyss, captivates every angler.
Remote Fishing Experience
A ban on commercial fishing preserves the park’s untouched waters. Far from roads, towns, or marinas, this region sees little fishing pressure. As a result, you’ll rarely encounter another boat. Our remote island lodge, just 4 miles from the park, sits on an island with a small community of about 200 residents. This serene micro-society, rooted in subsistence fishing and nearby Bahia Honda agriculture, offers a peaceful retreat from modern life.

Freshly painted, it features a large fishing cockpit, fighting chair, six tuna tubes, double spreader outriggers, a gin pole, a marlin tower, and twin turbo-diesel engines. The revamped interior provides shaded comfort, ensuring safety in shallow or offshore waters. For example, it carries top-tier rods, including five classic Fin~Nor bent-butt rods with 9/0 reels, blending timeless quality with modern prowess.
